About Fight Card: Barefoot Bones:

ebook cover
Korea 1951.

Corporal James “Bones” Mason finds himself in the middle of a war zone. He is thrilled when his CO volunteers him for an inter-camp boxing tournament. The cease-fire is broken when a mortar attack hits interrupts his bout.

But that’s not where his story begins. “Barefoot Bones” Mason was a poor backwoods skinny kid, picked on by the larger boys, unable to fight back. All that changed the day he met Old Man Winters, a mysterious loner who teaches young Bones to defend himself.

Forced to leave behind everything he ever knew, teenage Bones hits the road,
taking him from sweltering hot Georgia summers to freezing cold Chicago winters. Along the way, he has no problem finding trouble. But Bones knows how to handle trouble-- with his fists.

Can this skinny kid form the North Georgia Mountains survive the wilds of Korea so he can climb back into the ring one more time?

Fight Card: Barefoot Bones is available now as an ebook for your Kindle and will be available for purchase as a paperback next week.

From Bobby Nash: All Pulp Contributor:

I have been a proud member of the All Pulp family, not to mention one of the Spectacled Seven that got this thing started) since the site began way back when. I have had a lot of fun working with the All Pulp gang and have made some new friends and discovered many new books to read and movies to watch. All Pulp joining Comicmix will open the site up to a wider audience and I'm excited to see where things go from here.

That said, however, I will not be moving on with All Pulp. With my writing schedule packed full and deadlines looming, I felt that this would be a good time for me to take a step back and focus my efforts on writing, as I'm sure my publishers will appreciate. Who can say what the future will bring, but I plan to stop by the new All Pulp site regularly to check up on the latest pulp news.

I'll see you there.

Gary Mitchel, Jessa Phillips, and Bobby Nash offers a salute.

Dragon Con! The other large fan-run science fiction convention that all the cool geeks were at the Labor Day weekend! And once again, RevSF had a team deeply embedded, covering all the bases, causing mayhem at every turn. Our co-host sat down with Jessa Phillips and AWARD WINNING AUTHOR(tm) Bobby Nash to discuss the highs and lows of this year's convention. So grab a cup of your favorite locally produced beverage and enjoy.

EARTH STATION ONE EPISODE 181 – ON A QUEST WITH MONTY PYTHON FOR THE HOLY GRAIL

On this episode, the ESO crew discusses something completely different. King Mike, his trusty steed Patsy Mike, the award-winning Sir Bobby the Brave, Sir Greg the Not-Quite-So-Award-Winning, Rebecca the Enchanter, Robert the Shrubber, and Sir Not-Appearing-in-this-Podcast risk just a bit of peril to discuss the classic comedy and there is much rejoicing. Plus, we also take author Ralph L. Angelo Jr. off his motorcycle and onto The Geek Seat. All this, along with the usual Rants, Raves, Khan Report, and Shout Outs!

Join us for yet another episode of The Earth Station One Podcast we like to call: On a Quest with Monty Python for the Holy Grail at www.esonetwork.com

FAT CHANCES, PRODUCTION DIARY, AND APPLE DUMPLINGS...

The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again!

Coming 2014
I've waited over 30 years to be part of the Apple Dumpling Gang. I was finally able to achieve this goal on the set of Fat Chance when we had Apple Dumplings for desert one night. The cast decided this would be the perfect opportunity for a photo op. You can see the photo above.

And yes, the apple dumplings were good too. Yum.

Also, Jim O'Rear has released the Fat Chance Production Diary - DAY 3. You can catch a quick glimpse of me on set in this one. Watch it here.

A TASTE OF TODAY'S WRITING...

We're having absolutely gorgeous weather here in Georgia today so I took the laptop outside to do some writing and enjoy the fresh air. As a nice change of pace, my neighbors did not decide to start cutting grass as soon as I was out there, as usually happens.

Here's a little taste of today's writing. This is for a licensed property so I've redacted the character's name until the publisher announces the name of the project. That's why it says (Our hero) where his name is used.

###

“What did Sayles want to talk to you about?”

“He thought someone had found him and was trying to kill him.”

“Did he say who?”

Miller’s eyes hardened as they focused on (Our hero), the man partly responsible for his life on the run. “Yes he did, Mr. (Hero). He knew exactly who was out to get him.”

“Who was it?”

“It was you!” Miller said through grit teeth.

(Our hero) couldn’t hide his shock. “Me? No. I didn’t kill him. It wasn’t me. What possible reason would I have to kill him?”

His courage bolstered by anger, Miller leaned forward until only inches separated the two men. “I might be more inclined to believe you if I hadn’t seen you standing over his dead body with my own two eyes.”

###

I hope you enjoyed that.
More to come.
